STEPHEN J. CORBIN, NCARB, AIA
Principal Architect, President
Mr. Corbin's experience includes the successful completion of over 140 educational facilities projects, including new campuses, modernizations, relocatable classrooms and deferred maintenance. In addition, Mr. Corbin has been project architect for many other types of projects such as multi-story resort hotels in Colorado, coroner's facilities, shopping centers and malls, housing tract developments, historical building restorations, custom homes, restaurants, medical facilities, office buildings, tenant improvements, and industrial testing facilities.
Mr. Corbin is certified with the National Council of Architectural Registration Board (NCARB) and has been a corporate member of the American Institute of Architects and the AIA Golden Empire Chapter since 1986. Mr. Corbin served as chapter President in the year 2000. Mr. Corbin is also registered with the State of California Office of Emergency Services as a Disaster Service Worker.
Mr. Corbin is active in the community as a member of the Westchester Kiwanis Club and a life member of the 82nd Airborne Division Association.
As
an Associate, Mr. Pugh has taken a greater role in firm-wide management
and client relations while increasing his role in the implementation and
design of office projects.
Mr.
Pugh has been with the Firm since 1997, and has been involved in a
variety of projects. He has
been active in all phases of design and construction. Mr. Pugh has shown
his dedicated to improving the services offered to the firms clients,
implementing his skills as a mentor to other staff members offering
encouragement and training where needed.

Mr. Wuertz has elevated himself to the position of Senior Project Manager demonstrating his knowledge of building codes, his ability to coordinate plans and specifications and perform Construction Administration duties on projects ranging from Relocatable Classrooms, Modernization of an elementary school to New Elementary Schools.

BRENT C. WUERTZ

Senior Project Manager
Isela
joined our firm soon after completing her Bachelor of Architecture
Degree from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo in
2004.
While
attending Cal Poly, SLO, Isela was gaining experience working for an
architectural firm in Santa Maria. Her experience there included working
on educational facilities projects. Her duties included construction
document preparation for DSA approval, project presentations and project
color selections. She also worked in the interior design department
where she assisted in making decisions on materials and colors.
Isela
is currently an A.R.E. Candidate who is actively testing and pursuing
her Architectural License. Her background, past work experience, and
work ethic brings a positive and energetic personality to the staff.
During
her time here at SCArchitect, Inc., Isela has advanced from project
captain to project manager. Isela
has been responsible for several projects including modernizations of
existing school campuses & play ground improvements. Her duties have
included all phases of the projects from Schematic Design through
Construction. She has also assisted in cost analysis, materials and
color selection and specification and processing projects with the
Division of the State architect and the State Allocation Board/OPSC.
